Syria

Since the beginning of the war in Syria, Association pro Terra Sancta has helped the Custody of the Holy Land to support the monasteries and parishes that offer a place to sleep and provide basic needs (food, clothing and medicine) to a very large number of families. The friars have established four reception centers, each of which provides accommodation to hundreds of people, while those families who have lost their homes are helped to find new ones.

We have already raised a substantial amount, thanks to the generosity of so many people, but unfortunately it is not enough. The need is enormous, as many people today are surviving only thanks to aid coming from abroad, and in the coming years it will be necessary to rebuild a nation that has been devastated by war. Syria has always been a breadbasket for the world, but today it is in need of bread.
